Perfect Day is part of the trilogy «Cover me», where Juanma Carrillo and Félix Fernández develop a creative work about loneliness, the separativity of the individual and the affective-emotional relationships. Each video fragment presents us a new version of well-known songs, like in this second piece where the song «Perfect day» from Lou Reed is revisited with musician and compositor Rubeck. This work connects with an energy in constant change and the search of an ideal that fades away with the proximity of the bodies. Each frame explores the friction between the sublime and quotidian parts in every sexual encounter, every farewell, every breakup.

10 minutes away from the city centre, hundreds of men gather fortuitously and stealthily. Some looking for quick sex, others to avoid loneliness, but the majority is searching for themselves.
Caníbales comes from Juanma Carrillo’s interest, as an artist and confessed voyeur, of the common, worldwide extended, slandered, and much talked about practice of cruising. Strangers looking for quick hot sex.
Caníbales premiered in November 2009, and since then it has become the most viewed work of Juanma Carrillo, and has been shown in many film festivals, such as Zinegoak of Bilbao, Toronto, Queer Lisboa, Mix Milan and Mix Mexico, 25 LGBT Festival of Copenhagen, etc. Recently, it has been nominated for the Iris Prize as Best LGBT Short Film.
